Day 6

Hello all,

Today, we started off in the famous Gettysburg after a 2-3 hour drive the night before with a great buffet after the drive. This morning we took the battlefield trip of Gettysburg and had an amazing time, although it was quite hot. Gettysburg was just as I had remembered it from my Eight grade trip, in fact we visited many of the same sights that we had when i went in Eight Grade. Our tour guide was an amazing storyteller and was very good at relaying information to us about the Battle of Gettysburg. Afterwords, we went into the visitor center and watched a nice movie and saw an approximately 370 foot circumference watercolor painting in the visitor center with a cool presentation attached to it. Then, it was on to Williamsburg, which is where the day started to go wrong. :( . The bus the 619 was traveling on just happened to lose their air conditioning unit, so some of the scouts unfortunately started to overheat. This lead to some of the scouts (about 24) to come over to the 620 bus which suddenly became over crowed. (which none of us minded by the way) After that ride we ended up about an hour and a half late to dinner, but fortunately no one was there so we were able to get in fairly quickly. This sorta reminds me of my Eight Grade DC trip again, where we had three busses and one of them actually broke down completely so we had to all squeeze into the other two. I'm hoping tomorrow will be a better day.

See ya,
Brandon
